About Consultations

The first phone consultation is always free.

In-home visits and subsequent consultations are privately paid by family or the older adult, not by Medicare or insurance. Kira charges an hourly fee for her services.

Basic Home Consultation: 3 hours


  • Brief evaluation of the older adult done in their home.
  • Written report of recommendations.
  • Limited follow-up phone calls with LIFE Care Manager.

Telephone Consultation:

Speak with a Kira whenever issues come up. Call to ask questions about:

  • Research you are doing on assisted living homes
  • A home care arrangement you are considering
  • Ideas for getting a parent to stop driving
  • Ideas for addressing caregiver stress and exhaustion
  • A 15 minute consultation is just $30.

Comprehensive Home Consultation: 7 hours


  • Comprehensive clinical evaluation of the older adult done in their home. Assessment can focus on areas such as daily functioning, memory, medical diagnoses, mental health, lifestyle, medications, legal and financial issues. Helpful to share with others such as family members and physicians (See sample below).
  • Phone calls to other professionals and family members, as indicated.
  • Written report of recommendations along with a written summary of the clinical evaluation. Helpful to share with others such as family members and physicians.
  • In-person review of the final written report with senior and family.
  • Limited follow-up phone calls with LIFE Care Manager.

Hourly Fee: On-going Consultation

Kira can be hired to implement the professional recommendations outlined in the written report prepared for the older adult. She can provide on-going monitoring of plans in place. This is helpful when families are limited on time, long distance, have strained relationships with their loved one, or don't feel qualified to set up services and monitor.
